The recent generation honda VTEC plants seem to do better with tri-y designs (4-2-1) overall. At least--that seems to be what I've experienced and a culmination of most of the people I know.

The only exclusion to that seems to be the big badass turbo crowd, which seem to religiously view 4-1 designs as gospel.

I'm looking to upgrade my header (currently stock) before I go over to the darkside. So I need to choose something that will not kill me N/A, but will kick ass when the JRSC gets in. I'm thinking about the Hi-Tech Honda VTEC exhaust, tri-y with 2.5" collector.

    Thoughts?

    Grand600...
The best adjustable rise-rate regulator on the market currently is the Cartech 2025. I have them on the shelf if you need one. The JR 8psi upgrade pulley is in fact a CRANK pulley. I also have the JR blower pulley in the 4.0" diameter to upgrade you to the next boost level (it is alot cheaper than the crank pulley).
Call me on Tuesday for pricing (205) 854-8458.

I have a 99 civic SI. My mods are as follows.JRSC at 6lb dc4 to 1 header, apexi N1 cat back, JR BTC, JR map mod, Jr Vpac, JR water inj, J&S safeguard, colder plugs ECT. I think this is pretty much it oh yeah JR FMU. So my question is Running the 96+ 290cc injectors at 8psi a safe option? Also as you had stated before I should replace the JR FMU 5:1 rise rate for a cartech 4:1 rise rate. That said what do I need to get? If I have left out a crutial piece of info let me know thank you. Last thing I forgot I am looking into getting the 8psi crank pulley from Moss Motors. Shawn has told me and reverified that it is the crank pully. Everyone on clubsi told me it was the charger pully. Thanks again for the help!!!!

For what it's worth the Kamakazi header is a great power maker, for 8psi+. At 6psi, you can keep the stock exhaust manifold or the DC 4-2-1.

Did I miss some intended sarcasm here? I believe 4-1 is just about the only option us big badass turbo guys have. Not a lot of room for a tri-y between the head and the turbine.
